If you are using Mercury Wiseco 2.5 pistons, I recommend running Mercury rings part # 840663A12 (the stock Mercury top pin ring) or I can modify your old ones to fit the new pins. Go for the new rings, you�re better off not running used rings. I can get you these rings for below dealer pricing. All Mahle 2.5 pistons can run the same rings they come with or Mercury rings part # 840663A12. 2.4 and 2.0 Mercury pistons will run the stock rings for that piston unless they are Wisecos in which case I will need to modify the rings. Any other brand of piston can also be top pinned i.e. Pro Marine, Wiseco fishing motor pistons, Sierra and all stock Mercury fishing motor pistons. Either one of the rings below will work on our top pined pistons. The upper ring is a Mercury Wiseco ring that we have modified to fit our top pin pistons. The Lower ring is a stock Mercury 2.5 top pin ring, it�s also the stock ring that fits the Mahle piston, part # 840663A12. This ring will fit all Mercury forged 2.5 pistons that we have top pined without any modification.
